Dr. Charles Kwabena Adu-Poku is a Ghanaian professional who serves as a Board Member of Ghana Union Assurance (GUA) and is also known for his achievements in chess, having twice won the Ghana Chess Championship and represented Ghana internationally.
Dr. Adu-Poku’s history is multifaceted. In the corporate sphere, he holds a directorship at Ghana Union Assurance, one of Ghana’s oldest insurance companies founded in 1962. His role as a board member places him at the heart of governance and strategic oversight, helping to guide the company’s operations in motor, travel, personal, home, and liability insurance services. This position reflects his influence in Ghana’s financial and insurance sector, where board members are responsible for ensuring compliance, risk management, and long-term planning for sustainable growth.
