Prof. Gyikua Plange Rhule
Vice President

Gyikua Plange-Rhule is a retired Professor of Paediatrics in the Department of Child Health at the School of Medical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the former head of Newborn Care at the Mother and Baby Unit, of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

She currently serves as the Vice President of the Ghana Cleft Foundation. Her primary areas of interest include newborn care, with particular emphasis on newborn nutrition, breastfeeding, and the management of babies with birth defects.

Professor Plange-Rhule is a member of the West African College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians. In addition to her medical qualifications, she holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from the KNUST Faculty of Law, and Barrister-at-Law (BL) qualification from the Ghana School of Law. She was called to the Ghanaian Bar in 2012.
She currently teaches medical students at the Ashanti Regional Hospital (Kumasi South Hospital)
