Last Wednesday 27/3/19, the President and CEO of Smile Train, Sussanah Schaefer visited us. The visit afforded her the opportunity to interact with the team of cleft care practitioners in Kumasi. She also experienced firsthand the conditions in which care is given and determined how best Smile Train can offer further support. Sussanah Schaefer also visited some patients in their homes and observed their circumstances. She used the visit to encourage the local team to dedicate themselves to the noble cause. Lastly, the President and CEO of Smile Train gained a better understanding of how best cleft services in Ghana and Africa in general could be scaled up.
